Privacy policy
As of October 2026. The German version is legally binding.
1. In short
This website is deliberately lean. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no content from third-party servers. Fonts, images, tables and Instagram posts are delivered from our own web space. Personal data is therefore only processed in the cases described below.
2. Controller
Bitburger Eissportverein e.V.

For any data protection questions, please use these contact details.
3. Hosting and server log files
Our web space is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM - Neue Medien Münnich, owner René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. We have a data processing agreement with the host under Art. 28 GDPR.
When you open the website, the web server processes data that your browser sends automatically: IP address, date and time, requested page or file, amount of data transferred, status code, referring page, browser type and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We do not use the log files for marketing and do not combine them with other data.
4. No cookies, nothing stored on your device
This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, which is why we do not ask for consent through a cookie banner. The language is determined only by the address you open.
5. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, for example about a trial practice, membership or a partnership, we process your details to handle the request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where membership is concerned, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We delete the data once the request is settled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
6. Membership applications and player passes
The downloadable forms are not submitted through this website. If you hand us a completed membership application or documents for a player pass, we process the details to manage the membership and the game operations (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and within the consents given in the form (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). For the player eligibility we pass the required details to the German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB) and its responsible pass office. The information under Art. 13 GDPR on membership administration is posted in the locker room of the Eissporthalle Bitburg; on request we send it to you by email.
7. Instagram posts on this website
We show a selection of posts from our Instagram account @eifelmoselbaeren. Our server regularly fetches images and texts through Instagram's interface and stores them on our web space. Visiting this website therefore does not connect your browser to Instagram or Meta. Only when you click a post or our profile do you leave our website; Meta Platforms Ireland Limited's privacy policy then applies.
8. Tables and results
Our server takes tables and results from icehockeypage.net and stores them locally. Visiting this website does not transfer any of your data to third parties for this.
9. Links to other websites
We link to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, the Eissporthalle Bitburg and our figure skating division, among others. Data only reaches these providers when you click a link. Their own privacy notices apply to the linked pages.
10. Calendar files
The calendar files (.ics) are plain files on our server. If you subscribe to the schedule, your calendar app fetches the file regularly. Only the server log data described in section 3 is processed.
11. Photos of games and events
We show photos of games, practice and club events, based on our members' consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in presenting club life (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). If you appear in a photo and do not agree to its publication, write to us and we will remove it.
12. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)). An informal message to info@eishockey-bitburg.de is enough.
Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Our competent authority is the Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany, www.datenschutz.rlp.de.
13. Encryption
This website is delivered exclusively over encrypted HTTPS.
